No matter how much Joe Blow the body builder plays with your macros, if the food absorbing machine isn’t working … good luck losing fat, gaining muscle, or feeling like a normal functioning human.

Jacob's Journey

Working with Devya has been such an incredible experience for our family. When we started with her back at the end of June, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. "My experience working with Devya has been a good and enlightening experience. Before meeting her, I have always struggled with losing weight. I know I wanted to work with a professional. After one year of working with her, we found out that I had hormone issues. Devya was able to work with, understand, and learn with other professionals to help me to get where I am today. Just the other day, I was able to do 5 pull-ups in a row without assistance. A year ago, I couldn't do one pull-up. "I have always struggled with putting on muscle and decided I wanted to find someone who could help me achieve ANY kind of muscle definition. When I met Devya, and she lovingly yet matter-of-factly let me know that "Yeah, what you're doing isn't going to help you put on the muscle you're looking for," I knew I'd found just the right coach to help me get it done. Over the past few months, Devya has tailored a training and nutrition plan that works for ME and not some cookie cutter plan that's thrown out there for everybody to follow.
She takes such great care to make sure it's tailored to my goals. Admittedly, the amount of carbs she prescribed for me was a little daunting at first (women are NOT supposed to eat so many carbs, right??? ), but she knew this is what I needed for muscle gains, and was she right! I finally feel proud of the gains I've made and have come to embrace the fact that how I fuel my body is imperative to getting there.
I love that she's taken the guesswork away on what food/macros/training I need as she figures it out every week, and best of all, what she recommends is SUSTAINABLE. There is nothing weird I have to eat and actually get to enjoy foods I eat anyway, I'm just more mindful with it. Dark chocolate for an evening snack? Yep, it's in my nutrition plan! And I LOVE the lifting she has me do at the gym. Again, sustainable, and so empowering to push myself on heavy weights I've never had the courage to try before. When I first met Dev, I had been going to the gym for about a year and I felt a crazy connection but didn’t know why exactly when it happened. Fast forward a few months and I found myself struggling- not getting any real results and battling a few hormone-related issues that were hindering my progress.
